We know that in healthcare, you rarely have a free hand. That’s why we’re introducing Hands-free mode for Live Translate, designed to make your voice-to-voice conversations smoother and more natural.

Instead of tapping your screen every time someone speaks, the app can now automatically listen, translate, and play the translation aloud.

What this means for your daily work:

• Fewer taps, more focus: Start a conversation and let the app do the heavy lifting while you keep your hands free for patient care.
• Natural flow: Both you and the patient can speak in turn without awkward pauses or manual steps.
• Fewer interruptions: Perfect for practical care situations where you need to communicate clearly across language barriers without breaking your workflow.

‍Hands-free mode is currently available for our Premium users, as well as an opt-in feature for our Team and Enterprise customers. Contact us to get set up for your organization.

• Fixed a loop that prevented free users from entering the app after seeing the subscription screen.
• Fixed a visual glitch where icons in the Live Translate window were overlapping or appearing outside of their buttons.
• Your playback speed settings now work correctly for text-to-speech voices in the web app.

We’ve launched a new side menu (☰) to give you instant access to essential features. Simply tap the icon in the top-left corner to explore.

• Profile badge: Enjoy a fresh look with new illustrations and "pill" tags that reflect your subscription tier (Premium/Team).
• Quick shortcuts: Access your favourite tools even faster with a dedicated shortcuts section.
• Help center: A dedicated space for FAQs, tutorials, contact info, and feedback – keeping support just a tap away.
• Refined settings: We’ve decluttered your settings by moving help and profile features to their own dedicated spaces.
• Admin portal: Enterprise users can now access the admin Portal directly via the web through the new menu.
• Compliance & trust: Through compliance badges you can quickly access the Trust Center and security documentation.

You can now enlarge the text specifically within the dictation tool without affecting the rest of the app's interface. This feature improves readability during live conversations while keeping the overall navigation clean and consistent.

• We’ve streamlined the interface by replacing the yellow machine literacy banner with localized text integrated directly into the source and target language fields.
• Translation history and contextual settings are now located in the navbar for quicker access.

By removing user modes in the app, we have added some new settings to the Portal to give you the possibility to customize the phrase library for your organization:

• Care recipient phrases are now available for usage in shared lists through the Portal.
• Configure translations packages available in app allows admins to hide parts of the phrase library (Staff or Care recipient) from usage in the Portal.‍

• Tags and filters have been added to make it possible to sort phrases by Staff or Care recipient.

We are always looking for ways to make your daily work smoother. That’s why we’re now simplifying how you access phrases in the app.

Instead of manually switching between "Staff" and "Care recipient" modes, you will now have everything in one place and all users will have direct access to the full power of the app at all times.

What’s new?

• Phrases are grouped based on their purpose and you can easily toggle these on or off to customize the phrase library exactly how you like it.
• No more switching modes. To let a patient use the app, simply select their language and stay right where you are.
• Administrators can manage which parts of the phrase library are visible or selectable for their teams via Settings in the admin Portal.

If you don't typically use the specific patient lists, nothing changes for you. The rest of the app continues to work exactly as usual.

• Improved the Live Translate input screen to ensure text no longer show behind the character count or submit button.
• Fixed the dictation feature to strictly respect character limits.
• Resolved a "spam-press" issue where clicking a content group row multiple times would trigger multiple navigations.
• Corrected the filter pills in the playlist header to prevent text from being cut off in longer languages.

Web app

• Added a direct link to the Portal from the web app for easier account management.
• Optimized the Live Translate box to expand automatically when text reaches the bottom of the screen.
• Fixed a navigation bug where refreshing the app would cause the "Close" button for certain pages to disappear.

We’ve introduced a simpler way to transition from managing your account to using the translation tool. A new "Open app" button in the Portal header now provides instant access via a QR code for mobile devices or a direct link to the web app. To provide a better user experience, the web app now opens in its own tab, making it easier to bookmark and use as a standalone tool.

We’ve upgraded the search functionality in the Portal to deliver more accurate and relevant results instantly, making it easier than ever to find the exact content you need within your library.
