We’ve unified your translation controls into a single, shared action bar for a consistent experience across the app.

• Image support: We removed the"View image" text and now only show a clean icon., and Live Translate now shows images on the output screen for verified matches.
• Reverse translation: Now available in the phrase view for all languages, including non-verified ones.

Coming soon: Full-screen translation mode for both the phrase library and Live Translate.

We’ve redesigned the home screen to better balance Live Translation and our phrase library, ensuring the tools you need are always within reach. Here's what's changed:

• We’ve moved the Shortcuts to the top of the feed, directly below the Live Translation section, for instant access.
• The old "What's new" notification bell is now a dedicated shortcut button. It opens as a full-screen modal, so you can explore updates without leaving the context.
• Translation History has moved to the top navigation bar. We’ve also removed the Translation history banner when the feature is active to keep your view clean.
• The Interpreters tab has been removed from the bottom menu and has been added as a shortcut instead.

• Fixed an issue where double-tapping the microphone could freeze speech-to-text and audio playback.
• Resolved a navigation glitch when selecting target languages rapidly.
• Free users can now view information about Premium features (like offline mode and statistics) directly in Settings.

You can now use dictation to transcribe speech into text in the same language. This feature is designed to support clearer communication in everyday care situations – especially when:

• a care recipient is hearing impaired, or
• someone understands the spoken language well but benefits from seeing it in text during the conversation.

We’ve added a new Shortcuts section to make it even faster to access the features you use most. For now, you’ll find it just above the Discover section on the home screen.

• We’ve tweaked and improved the overall experience of using Translation History.
• Fixed issues where archiving and deleting sessions sometimes impacted other sessions as well.
• The type of logged translation and whether it was a phrase reply or not is indicated more consistently.

We’re improving how Premium subscriptions are managed and purchased by streamlining our purchase flows. This update means subscription lifecycle management (such as subscribing, renewing, and unsubscribing) is now fully handled through a third party. This also opens up opportunities for future improvements, such as gathering feedback from users.

We’ve also introduced new payment options. Users can now choose between monthly or yearly Premium plans, with the yearly plan offered at a discounted rate.

Finally, we’re updating the price of the Premium subscription across all markets. This change supports continued product development and long-term value for our users.

We’ve unlocked personal lists for Free plan users. You can now create and manage your own lists – just like Premium users. To make it even easier to get started, a new call-to-action button has been added to the “Your lists” empty state on the home screen, guiding users to create their first list.

This update gives Free users more flexibility and makes it easier to personalize the app experience from day one.

The Translation history feature combines your Live Translate and phrase library activity into a single session view. This allows users to retain conversations for documentation or for sharing with care recipients.

Functionality:

• Source identification: The history view displays whether a translation originated from Live Translate or the phrase library.
• Data retention: The Translation history remains saved on the device until it's deleted by the user.
• Exporting: Users can export history by copying it to the device clipboard. Export options include the source language, the target language, or both.

Users can configure the following preferences in the Settings menu:

• Enable/disable: Turn Translation history on or off.
• Display languages: Choose to view history in your language only, or in both your language and the target language.
• Auto-clear: Enable the option to automatically clear Translation history upon signing out of the account.

Translation history can be accessed via a banner on the home page or directly through the Settings menu.
