Press release

Care to Translate AB welcomes the Swedish municipality Botkyrka as a new customer within its Health and Social Care Administration. The collaboration marks an important step in the municipality’s work towards more inclusive and equitable health and social care, where linguistic accessibility is a prerequisite for safe and secure services.

Following a thorough process related to IT security, data protection, and regulatory compliance, Care to Translate has been approved for use within the municipality. The work was carried out in close dialogue with Botkyrka Municipality’s Quality & Evaluation function, where requirements for information security, GDPR compliance, and practical usability in operations were central.

“We have conducted a comprehensive review of Care to Translate from an information security and compliance perspective," says Pamela Olave, IT Coordinator, Quality & Evaluation, Botkyrka Municipality. "The solution meets our requirements and is now approved for use within the Health and Social Care Administration."

"It feels reassuring to be able to offer the organisation a tool that both strengthens communication and meets our quality and security standards.”

The solution was presented in connection with the municipality’s annual management meeting, where the administration brings together managers to follow up on goals, results, and the overall roadmap. Care to Translate participated by invitation and was met with strong engagement, many questions, and curious employees who are now looking forward to starting to use the tool in their daily work.

“Botkyrka Municipality’s decision to choose Care to Translate is an important step towards more inclusive care, where language does not become a barrier in the interaction with residents," says Maja Magnusson, CEO, Care to Translate.

"We are proud of the trust placed in us and pleased with the positive reception from both management and operational teams.”

Botkyrka Municipality is known for its significant linguistic and cultural diversity, which makes the need for clear and secure communication particularly important within health and social care. The implementation of Care to Translate is seen as a concrete tool to strengthen communication across operational and administrative boundaries, contributing to safer and more inclusive interactions for both staff and residents.
