Care to Translate appoints Ivar Strömberg as chairman and assembles a strong board

Care to Translate has appointed a board that will guide the company to new heights in our journey to make healthcare more accessible and efficient through our digital translation app.

Ivar Strömberg
is the company's new chairman and comes with a solid background as a former business development coach at the corporate incubator STING and as the founder and CEO of Tele1 Europe / Song Networks. Ivar Strömberg currently holds the chairman position in several other successful companies, including All Ears AB, DPOrganizer AB, and Beatly AB.

"I know the company well and have been following them and their co-founders since the beginning in 2018. It is an honor to be a part of and contribute to the company's future as chairman," says Ivar Strömberg, who has a strong team of experienced members by his side:

Sofia Bertling, founder and CEO of UTI-lizer, with over 15 years of experience in the Medtech industry, brings expertise in product development and internationalization. She has previously held leading positions at Hermes Medical Solutions and Sectra Medical Education.

"I look forward to finding the best ways to spread Care to Translate's patient-centered product to an industry in great need of increasing efficiency and leveraging its resources," says Sofia.

Georg Rydbeck, CFO of the SaaS company Mentimeter, which was valued at 2.5 billion in 2022, brings insights into investor relations and M&A projects. Georg has been part of building up Mentimeter since 2018 and previously worked in FP&A and Strategic Planning at Klarna for 8 years.

"Care to Translate is currently in a phase mirroring the growth journey I embarked on with Mentimeter in 2018. I am passionate about building scalable organizations from a financial perspective, and I eagerly look forward to leveraging my expertise within Care to Translate's board," Georg states.

The board also includes members of Care to Translate's founding team:

Linus Kullänger, co-founder, physician, and former CEO of Care to Translate, brings an in-depth understanding of the needs of healthcare professionals, in addition to a deep commitment to the company's core values and strategy.

"I am proud of how far we have come with the company, and the new board will provide us with the support we need to accelerate even further," says Linus.

Annie Backman, co-founder and Chief Medical Officer (CMedO) at Care to Translate, contributes her medical expertise and insights in linguistics that are crucial for the company's future.

Martin Schalling, co-founder and Senior Advisor at Care to Translate, as well as a physician and professor at KI, will use his expertise in research and healthcare and his international contacts as a substitute on the board.

This diversified and experienced board will work in harmony with the owners and the company's CEO, Maja Magnusson, to shape an exciting future for Care to Translate.
